Preparing your dog for boarding doesn’t need to be stressful. A few familiar items can make a big difference in helping your dog settle quickly and feel comfortable.

Here’s what we recommend bringing when your dog comes to stay at Daisy’s Digs.

Your Dog’s Food

Please bring enough of your dog’s usual food for their stay. Keeping meals consistent helps avoid upset stomachs and keeps routines familiar.

If your dog has any feeding instructions, allergies, or preferences, let us know in advance.

Familiar Bedding or a Blanket

Something that smells like home can be incredibly reassuring. A favourite blanket or bed helps dogs relax and settle more easily, especially on their first night. If they sleep or use a crate; ita best to bring this along. Sometimes your pooch just likes to take themselves off.

Lead and Collar or Harness

We recommend bringing your dog’s usual lead and collar or harness so everything feels familiar and comfortable.

Medication (If Required)

If your dog needs medication, please clearly label it and provide simple written instructions.

Favourite Toy (Optional)

A favourite toy can provide comfort, but please avoid anything fragile or irreplaceable.

What You Don’t Need to Bring

To keep things simple, there’s no need to bring bowls or large amounts of equipment unless your dog needs something specific.

Helping Your Dog Settle

We keep routines calm and consistent, and dogs staying with us are gradually introduced to their surroundings. Most dogs settle very quickly, especially when they have familiar items from home.

If you have any concerns or special requests, just let us know — communication is key.
